Some Giants fan tried to burn the massive Bucs flag at team headquarters

Here's your day in weird sports fan news: some New York Giants fan went to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers team headquarters to set their flag on fire after yesterday's game, according to the Tampa Tribune, who quote the Hillsborough County Sheriff's office. You know the flag he tried to burn. It's the massive one you can see above. The one valued at $26,000.

Of course, the Giants fan, whose mugshot you can see below, didn't exactly succeed at burning the flag. He only melted it a little. Seems the Bucs made it out of fire-retardant material, apparently expecting people to come try and burn it down. That's some serious lack of faith in humanity, or a realistic view of New York sports fans. Whichever.

The fan was arrested not just for criminal mischief, but also the marijuana he had in his possession. Should've given that to his buddies before deciding to get arrested.
