Kwon Alexander has won his second rookie of the week award for his performance against the Atlanta Falcons, when he racked up 11 tackles, one interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery, in addition to having an interception called back because Jacquies Smith had jumped offside. The rookie won NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance as well.
Alexander's outstanding play was all the more impressive given that he was still mourning the death of his little brother, which came just days before.
This is the fourth Rookie of the Week award the Bucs have won this year, with Winston having won two and Alexander having won one before as well. That's a pretty good indication that the Bucs rookies are doing really well -- and that's not including Ali Marpet, who looks better and better at right guard every week, or left tackle Donovan Smith who continues to improve, even if he doesn't actually look good.
