Jason Peters, Vincent Jackson active for Buccaneers vs. Eagles

Jeffrey G. Pittenger-USA TODAY Sports

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers get Vincent Jackson back today after missing three games with a knee injury as the receiver is officially active. The receiver was limited in practice this week so he may not be full-speed, but getting him back is important for a Bucs offense that has been very limited with only Mike Evans as a reliable receiver.

The Bucs still don't have tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins back, though, and guard Ali Marpet will miss his second game with an ankle injury. Evan Smith will replace Marpet. Defensive end Jacquies Smith is back and healthy, which bodes well for the team's ailing pass rush.

For the Philadelphia Eagles, Sam Bradford and Ryan Mathews are the main inactives. Left tackle Jason Peters does return to action despite being listed as questionable, and that should help the Eagles' running game. Mark Sanchez will start for Bradford, while Darren Sproles will see an expanded role with Mathews out.

Buccaneers inactives: TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins, DE Josh Shirley, DE George Johnson, G Ali Marpet, QB Ryan Griffin, WR Donteea Dye, S Kimario McFadden

Eagles inactives: QB Sam Bradford, RB Ryan Mathews, CB Rice, LB Sam Acho, OL Andrews, OL Hawkinson, DE Bair
