Austin Seferian-Jenkins has missed seven games this season, and has now missed more games over his NFL career than he's won. That's a tough pill to swallow for any player, but especially one that's shown as much promise as the big tight end has. Recently, some fans have started calling him "soft" and other varieties of names under the mistaken notion that he doesn't want to play.
That's not the case. Seferian-Jenkins hasn't been cleared for contact by the team doctors, and has repeatedly said that he wants to play. Sometimes, injuries are simply serious. We'll have to wait and see whether that's going to be an issue for the rest of his career, but one thing is certain: he cares about this team. Just watch his reaction on the sideline, as he's firing up the crowd and cheering on the team in the fourth quarter.
For those that think ASJ doesn't care. He's more into this game than anyone on the sideline. #Bucs pic.twitter.com/xCEJlSFWf7

That's a player who wants to play. He just can't.
