The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have re-signed linebacker Orie Lemon and waived defensive end Josh Martin, the team announced. Lemon has been on and off the Bucs' roster since the middle of last season, seeing three starts due to injury but mostly functioning as a solid special teamer -- which is what his role is likely to be for the Bucs once again. Martin joined the team last week but left Sunday's game with an injury.
The Bucs also signed receivers Rannell Hall and Adam Humphries to the practice squad. Humphries was released yesterday, while Hall was part of the team's final roster cuts at the end of the preseason. Both players stood out for the Bucs this offseason and it would not be a surprise to see them return to the active roster at some point this year.
The team has been very active with roster moves this week, shuffling players on and off the practice squad and 53-man roster. The churn continues.
