The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are getting blown out in their own stadium for the second time this year, as Jameis Winston just can't stop turning the ball over in Tampa. With three interceptions, two of them on terrible throws and a third on a tipped pass, the Bucs trail the Panthers 31 to 17 as they head to the fourth quarter.
Whereas the Bucs looked like a slowly improving team over the past two weeks, everything that could go wrong went wrong against the Panthers. So far, Jameis Winston has thrown three interceptions and had a fumbled snap on the second play from scrimmage. Kyle Brindza has missed two field goals, the Bucs declined to try to get a touchdown at the end of the first half, and the defense has allowed two touchdowns -- which isn't too horrible, given the short fields they've faced.
Of course, when Jameis Winston put together a solid touchdown drive at the end of the third quarter, the Bucs defense decided that they'd stopped the Panthers often enough. Carolina's in the red zone as we head to the fourth quarter, and it's hard to be optimistic about the Bucs chances in this game.
