The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are down again, losing 10-3 at home to the Carolina Panthers after two Bucs turnovers.
The Bucs got off to a terrible start in the pouring rain, with a fumbled snap on the second play of the game, giving the Panthers the ball in the red zone. A solid hold by the defense highlighted by Jacquies Smith running Cam Newton out of bounds for an eight-yard loss kept the damage to just three points, though. But Jameis Winston decided to make it worse with a pick six on his first attempt from scrimmage on his first attempt, mirroring his first start in Raymond James Stadium.

While the defense was more disciplined against the run than they were last week, Tampa Bay still struggled to consistently stop the Panthers. But the biggest mismatch was Bradley McDougald trying to stop Greg Olsen, which cost the Bucs a first down and would have cost them a touchdown had Newton's deep throw been slightly more accurate. Meanwhile, the Bucs offense is struggling to consistently get anything going as Jameis Winston looks a lot less poised than he was the past two weeks.
Here's your second quarter open thread.
