For the second straight day, Vincent Jackson and Clinton McDonald missed practice. Jackson has been reported to be out for multiple weeks, though the Buccaneers continue to refuse to confirm that report. He's almost certain to miss Sunday's game however. Safety Major Wright was not able to go today with a hamstring injury, which means he'll likely miss Sunday's game. Keith Tandy or D.J. Swearinger will likely see more playing time if that happens.
Clinton McDonald is unlikely to play at this point, along with Tony McDaniel who also has yet to practice this week. That would leave Gerald McCoy, who is still limited in practice with a shoulder injury he suffered in week two, Henry Melton and Akeem Spence as the only active defensive tackles for Sunday -- though George Johnson and William Gholston can also slide inside if necessary.
In better news, Evan Smith was upgraded to full participation and Greg Auman noted that he was splitting snaps with Joe Hawley in practice. Smith was benched for Hawley last Sunday, but that may have been because he wasn't yet fully healed. It's possible Smith retakes his starting spot now that he's healthy, but Hawley has played reasonably well in his absence. Austin Seferian-Jenkins also practiced for the second straight day and the odds of his participation on Sunday look good.
As for the Atlanta Falcons, they were largely healthy. Safety William Moore and wide receiver Leonard Hankerson are the only two players to have missed both practices this week, and neither player is likely to suit up on Sunday, while Jonathan Babineaux is limited with a back injury.
