The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost this weekend, which means they're falling the power rankings. I know. Shocking result, right?
I'm not even going to bother rounding up power rankings this week. They all look like Danny Kelly's version: the Bucs come in around #28-30 and are still one of the worst teams in the NFL. This is the fifth consecutive year we're talking about how terrible the Bucs are. It's tiresome. We all know it's tiresome. it doesn't make it any less true.
One upside: this time, for the first time since early 2011, the Bucs can be upbeat about their quarterback situation. Jameis Winston is looking like a real NFL quarterback, and the last time Bucs fans could realistically say that about any of their quarterbacks was back when Josh Freeman looked like one -- in 2010. A quick glance around the league would then tell us that "legitimate NFL quarterback" and "terrible team" are two things that generally don't go together.
For now, though, they do. Boo.
