Thursday Night Football Schedule: Seahawks at 49ers

The Seattle Seahawks play the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday Night Football tonight. Good fun. Two years ago, this would have been one of t he best games of the year. An absolute cracker between two top-notch teams who keep fighting not only for the division lead, but even the conference championship.

Oh how times have changed. Now the Seahawks and 49ers are both 2-4, with their quarterbacks struggling and their defenses no longer what they were. The Seahawks have still led in every game until the fourth quarter, when they consistently lose their lead -- in part because of some very uncharacteristic broken coverages. Meanwhile, the 49ers have simply lost too much talent this offseason to keep up their dominant play from seasons past.
