Two Buccaneers up for awards after offensive explosion

Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

After their offensive explosion against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have two of their offensive players up for weekly awards.

First, Jameis Winston can win his second NFL Rookie of the Week award, following his completing 13 of 19 passes for 209 yards and a touchdown with no turnovers. He'll likely lose to Thomas Rawls' 169 rushing yards and a touchdown on 23 carries, Todd Gurley's 159 yards on 30 carries or Quinten Rollins' two interceptions including one for a touchdown. Still, you can vote for him here.

More importantly, Doug Martin is up for the Fedex Ground player of the week. With 123 rushing yards and two touchdowns he has a good chance of winning, especially if you count his work in the passing game. He's Pro Football Focus' top-rated running back so far, and is having an outstanding season. You can vote for him here.

Doug Martin is also likely to win the NFC Offensive Player of the Week award, which is not decided by fan vote.
