Doug Martin suffered an apparent lower-leg injury and headed to the locker room.

Update: Doug Martin is arguing to get back in the game on the sidelines. Johnthan Banks is being evaluated for a concussion.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are getting hit hard with the injury bug in this game. After losing Logan Mankins for at least the game and probably longer with a left knee injury, the Bucs are now seeing running back Doug Martin head to the locker room.

Martin was struggling to find running room in the game and was beaten on two pass protection opportunities, one of those failures ending a promising drive. Martin had just 9 rushing yards on 9 attempts, much of that due to the offensive line's struggles to open up any holes against a stout Panthers front seven.

If Martin can't continue, Bobby Rainey is likely to take over as the main running back, with Mike James also likely to see a significant amount of carries.

To make matters worse, Johnthan Banks went down on the field and is now also heading to the locker room.
