Update 2: Logan Mankins has been ruled out for the game with a left knee injury.

Update: Logan Mankins suffered a knee injury and is officially questionable to return this game.

Logan Mankins went down with an apparent lower-leg injury during the second quarter of the game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers. The veteran guard had to be helped off the field after being down on the field for a while.

If Mankins can't go, Oniel Cousins will likely replace him -- and that could be the deathblow for an already mediocre Buccaneers offense, which struggled to consistently move the ball against the Panthers. Update: Recently-acquired Garrett Gilkey actually replaced Mankins, which may or may not be a positive.

The Bucs' trainers are checking Mankins' knee on the sidelines and he's now walked to the locker room on his own power.

At this point we don't know how serious this injury is, but we'll have an update for you as soon as possible.
