Steals and stars for Buccaneers in fantasy football

Who should you be starting in Fantasy Football this week? Well, not a lot of Tampa Bay Buccaneers, unless you like taking risks.

We're going to do a fantasy football post every week this regular season, focusing on FanDuel's weekly fantasy setup. For those who are unfamiliar with FanDuel: you get a budget to pick a team of fantasy players every week, and you score based on how well those players do. It's a fun weekly game. But this advice should transfer to regular fantasy football, too.

This week, I wanted to look at how the Bucs are doing in every major offensive category. Any steals there? Anyone you should stay away from?

QB: Yeah, no, I'd stay away from Josh McCown against one of the league's best defenses. Even if the Panthers probably aren't going to be as good as they were last year, McCown is not really who you should be looking at. Though I would take him over E.J. Manuel, who's actually even more expensive.

RB: Doug Martin is the only back you should be considering at this point, and he's going to get a ton of carries against the Carolina Panthers. The question is whether the Bucs' offensive line can move what is a very stout defensive front? I do like Martin's value there as the ninth-most expensive back.

WR: Vincent Jackson comes in at $7,300 just behind Andre Johnson and ahead of Keenan Allen. It's tough to gauge how he'll do against the Panthers in this offense, but he's certainly better value than Mike Evans at $6,000.

TE: Intriguing value here. Both Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Brandon Myers are very cheap at $4,600 and $4,800 respectively. If you've spent your money elsewhere, I'd certainly consider a flier on Seferian-Jenkins here.

Editor's Note: SB Nation's partner FanDuel is hosting a $1,000,000 Fantasy Football Contest for Week 1's NFL games. It's only $25 to join and first place wins $100,000. Starts Sunday, September 7th at 1pm ET. Here's the link . FYI: These are just my opinions, and FanDuel is sponsoring these posts.
