Buccaneers vs. Falcons Score Update: Tampa Bay getting crushed after one

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are getting crushed in Atlanta right now, giving up two touchdowns on the first two Falcons' possession with very little resistance. The normal issues are on display: no pass rush, which leads to an inability to cover and some issues with tackling.

To make matters worse, the offense isn't exactly helping. In fact, it's actively hurting the Bucs, with the net result of -7 points and no first downs so far. Josh McCown is inaccurate, and threw yet another ugly interception -- this one returned for a touchdown by Falcons defender Kemal Ishmael. And then Bobby Rainey decided to fumble the football in field goal range.

And that makes it 21-0. Yes, the Bucs are down three touchdowns after just one quarter of football. This isn't just bad, this is ludicrously horrible. Football as bad as any we've seen under Greg Schiano. The Bucs had better get this ship righted quickly, or this season may already be over before they've really started.
