Rams vs. Buccaneers suspended due to lightning

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and St. Louis Rams have suspended their game for now.

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and St. Louis Rams has been suspended because of lightning in the area. It's not clear when the game will resume, but weather reports suggest a one-hour delay should do it. There's 6:16 remaining in the game.

When the game was suspended, the game was tied 7-7 after first-quarter touchdown runs by Josh McCown and Zac Stacy. Neither offense was seeing a lot of resistance from the other team's defense, though that picked up in the second quarter as neither team has scored since then.

The Bucs offense looks much-improved over last week's improvement, although McCown has once again thrown one stupid interception under pressure. The running game is dominating, though, with Bobby Rainey already having 53 yards on just nine carries.

The Bucs will have to continue their game without Gerald McCoy, who has been ruled out for the game with a hand injury that at first glance did not appear to be too serious.
