After one quarter, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and St. Louis Rams are tied 7-7, each having gone down the field on their first offensive drives.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers started off the game on the right foot, compensating for last week's failings by going down the field and driving for a touchdown on their very first possession. Helped by a couple of penalties, Josh McCown ran in a five-yard touchdown to end a drive that also featured a 24-yard Bobby Rainey run.
But the Rams' offense struck right back with a couple of completions against the Bucs' zone coverage, as they struggled to get a good pass rush going without Michael Johnson and the run defense faltered as well. The Rams drove straight down the field, capping off a solid dink-and-dunk drive with a two-yard Zac Stacy touchdown.
Bobby Rainey is having a pretty good game for the Bucs, having racked up 35 yards on seven carries so far, and adding another 14 yards on one catch.
Here's your second quarter open thread. Go Bucs!
