The biggest news yesterday was the release of Connor Barth, the final move in a day that saw the Tampa Bay Buccaneers move on from 14 players. Some of those players will return on the practice squad, but for most of them, their NFL adventure will be over. That's probably not true of those cut today: there will be some genuinely tough decisions on players today, and the Bucs are likely to try to keep almost everyone they're cutting today on the practice squad.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have cut 14 players so far, which they means they have 8 more to waive/release before 4:00 p.m. ET today, when they have to set their 53-man roster. And then they'll start adding players off the waiver wire, and signing others to the practice squad. The final roster will continue to be in flux throughout the season.
The key decisions will focus on the defensive and offensive lines, today. The Bucs currently have 11 defensive linemen on the roster, and they'll cut two or three of those players. Ronald Talley, Matthew Masifilo, Scott Solomon and even Da'Quan Bowers are candidates for release. Along the offensive line they'll want to cut one or two more players, with Oniel Cousins, Josh Allen or Rishaw Johnson likely to be cut today.
Other possible casualties include QB Mike Kafka, RB Jeff Demps, S Keith Tandy, TE Cameron Brate and WR Russell Shepard.
We're tracking the Bucs' cuts below, as well as noting any notable releases across the NFL.
Roster cuts tracker
3:30 p.m.: The Bengals cut Danieal Manning, per Adam Caplan. Played five season for Lovie Smith and is a pretty good returner.
2:59 p.m.: Solomon Patton's a goner, per Roy Cummings. Now that's a weird one. They don't have a returner now.
2:53 p.m.: The 49ers released Adam Snyder, per Matt Maiocco. Veteran lineman who's played at every position and has 87 career starts. Not a great player, but bringing him in would make a lot of sense.
2:12 p.m.: Greg Auman notes that tight end Cameron Brate is cut, while Adam Schefter reports Major Wright hits the road. That last one is a bit of a surprise, but he has been injured and hasn't looked particularly great in preseason.
12:28 p.m.: Here's a bit of analysis on why Jeff Demps was released, and what it means.
12:27 p.m.: Ronald Talley got cut, per Greg Auman. This means Da'Quan Bowers probably made the roster.
12:09 p.m.: The Jets are going to release Stephen Hill, per Adam Caplan. A first-round pick two years ago with intriguing size and speed, he never developed in New York.
11:32 a.m.: Greg Auman reports the Bucs have waived DT Matthew Masifilo. Five more cuts coming today.
11:11 a.m.: And there go Jeff Demps and Mike Kafka, per Greg Auman and Ian Rapoport, respectively.
9:23 a.m.: Ravens cut A.Q. Shipley, per the Baltimore Sun, a center/guard who started 14 games over the past couple of years. Might be worth a look for the Bucs, who still have some issues at right guard.
8:42 a.m.: Washington released Lache Seastrunk, per John Keim. The running back managed an 80-yard touchdown catch-and-run against the Bucs on Thursday, and looked pretty good overall. He might be an interesting addition if the Bucs decide to move on from Jeff Demps.
