NFL Roster Cuts 2014: Buccaneers waive three, place Gorrer on IR to get to 75-man limit

The Buccaneers were busy on Tuesday, making a number of roster moves to get to the 75-man limit.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers weren't done with their roster moves on Tuesday after the addition of Logan Mankins, as the team still needed to make the required moves to get to the 75-man roster limit enforced at 4 PM Eastern.

And according to Scott Smith of the Bucs' official website, the team claimed two players before waiving three and placing Danny Gorrer on IR to get under the mandated amount of players.

The players departing from Tampa are tackles Matt Patchan and J.B. Shugarts, with Patchan designated as "Injured/Waived." Cornerback Deveron Carr joins the two tackles as the players on the way out of One Buc Place.

And despite tweeting that he was done in Tampa, Danny Gorrer was actually placed on IR, ending his season and likely his career in Tampa.

The departure of Gorrer and Carr leaves the Bucs even thinner at corner, which may explain one of their additions.

With the extra roster spots gained from letting go of more players than they had to, the Bucs claimed corner Marc Anthony and guard Jeremiah Warren.

Anthony had been with the Bucs previously, working with the team in camps and practices last year and early this year before being let go. Warren is a USF product who has ties to Bucs' offensive line coach George Warhop, according to Smith.

So the Buccaneers added two players, removed four from the roster, and wound up at the 75-man limit heading into Thursday's final preseason game.
