The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have announced the waiving of safety Mark Joyce, an undrafted free agent out of USF who was signed last week. He was probably signed at the time to make up for the fact that Dashon Goldson was going to sit out the first preseason game, which he did.
Joyce played a grand total of one snap in the team's first preseason game, and that one snap came on special teams so his being waived is hardly a surprise. The Bucs did not announce who they'd replace Joyce with, but that will probably come out tomorrow.
We should see more roster moves tomorrow, too, given that several players will have disqualified themselves from being on the Bucs' roster after Friday night's game. The Bucs will practice on Monday from 4:30 until 7:00 PM, and that practice is open to the public. Presumably the Bucs will want whoever they're going to sign in the building by then.
The Bucs are now at 93 roster moves since hiring Lovie Smith.
