Mike Evans hasn't been sitting still. Instead, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' first-round pick has been working out with Brandon Marshall during the dead part of the offseason.
It's always good to see rookies taking their new jobs seriously, working hard to excel even when they don't need to, this being the vacation part of the offseason. Evans could be out partying, or simply enjoying some time away from his job -- instead, he's trying to get better.
Seeking out athletes that have a lot in common with him only helps. Brandon Marshall doesn't quite have the size Evans has, but he's a similar style receiver: big, physical, and excellent at making contested catches. Evans could learn a lot from a five-time Pro Bowler, if only how to take care of his body.
Plus, the receiver looks pretty much recovered from the hamstring injury that kept him out for most of the team's offseason workouts. Hopefully he'll be able to use these workouts to start a dominant career.
