The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are pulling out all the stops for the Derrick Brooks Ring of Honor game, as the team announced that fans will receive a bobblehead of Brooks if they're in attendance for the game and ceremony on September 14th against the St. Louis Rams.
Greg Auman of the Times relayed the news, and pointed out that only Mike Alstott has previously had a bobblehead day at a Bucs' home game. No two players in Bucs history are more widely beloved than Brooks and the A-Train, so this makes perfect sense to me.
The game against the Rams will feature all of the Ring of Honor and jersey retiring festivities we saw last year for Warren Sapp, but with the added bonus to the fans of getting to take home only the second bobblehead in team history.
Will you be going to the game? Are you excited about a bobblehead? It's hard for me to get excited about something like this, but I know for a lot of Bucs fans, it would make a perfect addition to a man cave or Bucs shrine that may already be in place in your house.
Also, this is a really good excuse to post this video once again:
