The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have waived tackle Emmett Cleary and linebacker Steven Jenkins, the team announced. Cleary entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Boston College, and was signed tot he Bucs' roster in October of 2013, but did not appear in any games. Jenkins was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M this year.
The Bucs have not announced any signings to replace these players, and they now have three open roster spots. They have plenty of time to add any players before they'll next have the players on the field, which won't be until training camp in July.
Now that we're in June, some of those signed players may be veteran free agents with significant playing experience in the NFL. Those players still available at this point should be fairly cheap, and this is usually when we see a third wave of free agent signings occur, with many teams cutting a few of their highly-priced, aging veterans.
