The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will introduce a new logo and new helmets on Thursday night. The next question: will they also introduce new uniforms?
That certainly seems likely. All of the Buccaneers jerseys in their official shop went on sale quite some time ago, and are still on sale. Warren Sapp told one of his followers that "the head leads the body" in reference to uniform changes, and it seems unlikely that the Bucs would update their logo and their helmets but not their uniforms.
There was a very minor update to the uniform back in 2012 when Nike first took over as the uniform supplier for NFL teams, but the differences were so small I can't even tell the difference with the old uniforms. That's unlikely to be the case now, given the unveiling on NFL Network.
At the same time, I can't imagine there will be a radical departure from the past, either. More likely we'll see a redesign similar to that of the Seattle Seahawks two years ago. Tweaked colors, tweaked design, but the same overall feel.
