Buccaneers vs. Lions Inactives: Mason Foster, Anthony Collins out for Tampa Bay

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are, again, hard-hit by injuries. But this does give them the chance to give a few backups an audition for next season's starting jobs.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be without left tackle Anthony Collins, starting middle linebacker Mason Foster and backup running back Bobby Rainey today. The two will miss today's game after missing the final two days of practice this week. Oniel Cousins will start in Collins' place, while Doug Martin and Charles Sims will probably see their workloads increase a little with Rainey out for the game.

Cousins has had to start two games at left tackle this season, and hasn't exactly looked good, but he hasn't been much worse than Collins, either. The Bucs may also give rookie tackle Kevin Pamphile some playing time.

Middle linebacker Mason Foster is also out today, and he'll be replaced by Danny Lansanah. If Lansanah can prove to be a quality fit at middle linebacker, there's a solid chance the Bucs will roll with him over Foster at middle linebacker next season, as Foster's contract ends this offseason.

The Bucs will also be without tight ends Brandon Myers and Austin Seferian-Jenkins, and starting defensive tackle Clinton McDonald. Lavonte David returns to the starting lineup.

As for the Lions, their only significant inactive player is defensive tackle Nick Fairley, who was declared out with injury on Friday. Reggie Bush returns to play today, as do offensive linemen Larry Warford and Riley Reiff.

Buccaneers inactives: T Anthony Collins, TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE Brandon Myers, RB Bobby Rainey,

Lions inactives: QB Kellen Moore, DT Nick Fairley, DE Larry Webster, WR Ryan Broyles, T Garrett Reynolds, G Rodney Austin, DT Caraun Reid.
