Saints vs. Buccaneers inactives: Terron Armstead, Mason Foster out

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will finish the season without middle linebacker Mason Foster, the only starter to miss today's game due to injury. Danny Lansanah will start in his place after last week's failed experiment with Dane Fletcher at middle linebacker, while Orie Lemon will play strongside linebacker. Foster may well have played his last game as a Buccaneer.

Anthony Collins is a healthy scratch for the third straight week, making it pretty clear where his future is: not in Tampa. Isaiah Frey will also be absent with an injury, which will mean a minor blow to their pass defense.

The New Orleans Saints are mostly healthy, with the only starter missing today's game being left tackle Terron Armstead. Oddly enough, second-year safety Kenny Vaccaro has also been deactivated despite being apparently healthy. Vaccaro's playing time declined in recent weeks, and now he's going to be absent entirely.

Buccaneers inactives: WR Robert Herron, WR Solomon Patton, RB Mike James, CB Isaiah Frey, DL George Uko, LB Mason Foster, T Anthony Collins.

Saint inactives: T Terron Armstead, S Kenny Vaccaro, DB Stanley Jean Baptiste, LB Moises Fokou, LB Jerry Franklin, WR Brandon Coleman, WR Seantavius Jones.
