Welp, the 2014 NFL Regular season has begun to wind down. For Yucs, Jags, Flaming Thumbtacks, Rai-DUHS and Jests fans - it can't get here quick enough. Most of us play fantasy football these days and I'm happy to say that for the first time since 2011, I'm back in the post-season. Of course, my reward for having the best record in the league is to see my two top point producers, Demarco Murray and TY Hilton sustain injuries and both are the dreaded "Game Time Decision" for this week. Add to that I have players going on Saturday at the same positions its some tough decisions I have make. I'm betting Murray will play. Murray practiced and I'm debating whether to roll the dice with my workhorse. The alternative is to stick a ticked off Desean Jackson into the lineup against his old team (I may play him anyway since T.Y. is iffy).
My commish thought it was a good idea to start the playoffs in Week 16 and the championship in Week 17. Great. Just great. If by some miracle I survive this week, I'm sure half my starters will play about a half next week.
Of course, you're not here to see me whine about my fantasy football playoff problems, you're here to see me pick some games. It was a decent week last week as clocked in with a 10-6 record and 1-1 in the upset specials.
Let's see what we have in store for us this week.
Last Week: 10-6 62% Upset Specials: 1-1 50%
Season: 138-86 61% Upset Specials: 10-20 33%
Thursday Night
Jaguars 10, Titans 7 - My heart says Flaming Thumbtacks, my brain says Jags but the Bucs need my TNF whammy on Jacksonville so they're my pick.
Saturday
Eagles 23, Washington 13 - The Iggles are desperate for a win while the drama continues to play out in the Nation's Capital. Who sucks more? Jay Gruden or RGME
Chargers 20, 49ers 13 - Yay! San Diego gets the SuperChargers for another season. Meanwhile, San Francisco can't seem to wait to get a .705 winning pct and an NFC Championship out the door. Do you not remember what the Niners were BEFORE Harbaugh? Let me remind you - Mike Singletary.
Sunday
Upset Special: Vikings 13, Dolphins 10 - It seems the Mammals have packed it in for 2014 and Philbin.
Ravens 24, Texans 17 - B-more is quietly playing some good ball.
Lions 30, Bears 10 - Jimmy Clausen, Marc Trestman - really? Jimmy frickin' Clausen?
Upset Special #2: Browns 20, Panthers 13 - Johnny Football will play well and madness will ensue.
Saints 30, Falcons 27 - Should be a fun one at the Superdome on Sunday.
Packers 27, Buccaneers 13 - The Yucs have Oni pa'a for Mariota!
Steelers 20, Chiefs 17 - I don't feel comfortable about this one. After all, if the Yucs can win in Pittsburgh, KC certainly can.
Patriots 27, Jets 13 - Come on Rex Ryan, one more win against the Evil Emperor!
Rams 23, Giants 10 - That Scams defense is legit. Jeff Fisher closes in on yet another .500 season.
Bills 30, Raiders 0 - Nobody whups up on some RaiDUH ass like the Buffalo Bills!
Cowboys 27, Colts 23 - Please play Demarco Murray...please...please play.
Sunday Night
Seahawks 27, Cardinals 13 - I've doubted Bruce Arians and the Cards all season but this is Seattle's chance to reclaim the NFC West supermacy. Plus, who the hell is quarterbacking Arizona this week?
Monday Night
Broncos 26, Bengals 20 - The final Monday Night matchup of the year will be a good one!
