Vincent Jackson named Buccaneers' Man of the Year

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Vincent Jackson has won the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Man of the Year award, meaning he'll be up for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, along with the 31 other players selected by their respective teams. This is the second consecutive year Vincent Jackson was named the Bucs' Man of the Year.

Jackson has been one of the most active Buccaneers in the local community since arriving in Tampa three years ago, focusing specifically on military families. He and his wife Lindsey penned a children's book for military families called Danny Dogtags: Dealing with Deployment, among other charitable endeavors for military families like an annual Youth in Action camp and a Salute to Reading Program.

The nomination is well-deserved. Here's to hoping Jackson wins the league-wide, Walter Payton Man of the Year award, too.
