The Tampa Bay Buccaneers seem to have lost Gerald McCoy for the rest of the game, and possibly longer. The defensive tackle went down with a right knee injury, as that knee seemed to buckle with no contact. He had to be helped off the field and has been announced to be doubtful to return, but he looks like he's out for the game sitting on the bench with no indications he'll be ready to go any time soon.
McCoy had to leave the game for a drive with a knee injury last week, too. That was initially reported by Pro Football Talk to be a dislocated knee cap, but Lovie Smith subsequently denied that and called it a knee bruise. Whatever it is, this injury certainly looks more serious.
Without McCoy, the Bucs' pass rush is effectively useless -- especially with Clinton McDonald also out for the past four weeks. The All-Pro defensive tackle has been the face of the franchise for the past couple of seasons, and the Bucs have to hope his injury won't linger into next season.
