Well, if there's been one thing I've been consistent on this year in my picks segment it's mediocrity. Another 9-7 week in the books and I'm still meandering around being >< this close to good and >< this close to suck.
If only the Bucs could say the same.
Anywho, here's my picks for this important week of professional football.
Last Week: 9-7 56% Upset Specials: 1-2 33%
Season: 128-80 61% Upset Specials: 9-19 32%
Thursday Night
Rams 17, Cardinals 0 - The Scams have two shutouts in a row. Two is an indicator. Three is a bonafide trend.
Sunday
Steelers 27, Falcons 24 - I know, I know, Pittsburgh can't beat anyone with a losing record.
Giants 24, Washington 17 - What a mess. Which team you might be asking? Pick one.
Patriots 26, Dolphins 13 - I think the NFL schedule makers just love sending the warm weather team to New England in December.
Chiefs 23, Raiders 10 - KC was embarrased by the hated Raiders on national tv a couple weeks ago. It won't happen again.
Colts 23, Texans 20 - Indy wraps up the AFC South.
Ravens 23, Jaguars 13 - If Jacksonville fires head coach Gus Bradley will anyone notice?
Packers 20, Bills 16 - The Bills great defense will keep them in the game but they don't have the offensive fire power to win it.
Upset Special: Buccaneers 17, Panthers 14 - Why? Because Bucs fans can't have nice things.
Browns 24, Bengals 14 - Bengals have been slumping and it's Johnny Frickin' Football man!
Titans 23, Jets 20 - One of these teams could take over the top spot in the draft if my prediction on the Bucs comes true.
Broncos 26, Chargers 20 - Peyton's Forehead has looked vulnerable in recent weeks. The Chargers haven't shown the ability to beat the big boys, though.
Lions 27, Vikings 17 - The Cowardly ones get to feast on another sub-.500 opponent.
Seahawks 24, 49ers 13 - Something is very, very wrong in San Francisco.
Sunday Night
Eagles 27, Cowboys 20 - Big game, national television in December for Dallas? Hmm...
Monday Night
Upset Special #2: Saints 20, Bears 17 - Sean Payton is kicking backsides and chewing bubble gum and he's all out of bubblicious.
