Fantasy sit/start advice: Charles Sims expected to play, Doug Martin injured

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have Charles Sims make his debut on Sunday, but he likely won't play a lot of snaps.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers should finally have rookie running back Charles Sims on the field on Sunday. He was initially expected to make his debut last week, but was deactivated at the last minute despite being on the 53-man roster. But Lovie Smith today said that Sims should be ready for Sunday's game.

Sims should get a decent amount of playing time against the Atlanta Falcons, as Doug Martin missed a second consecutive day of practice. And with the Falcons' terrible (run defense) as well as an improved performance out of the Bucs' offensive line last week, he might actually be reasonably productive.

Except that they still have Bobby Rainey hanging around, and we can't really say how much time Sims will get. We know the Bucs love Sims, and we know he'll eventually become a big part of the game plan. But it seems doubtful that the rookie will get a lot of opportunities in his first game as a Buc when they also have a productive alternative who isn't playing his first game ever.

So if you have Charles Sims on your fantasy team, it's probably best to sit him for another week.
