Buccaneers vs. Bears Inactives: Doug Martin, Alterraun Verner return for Tampa Bay

The inactives for the game between the Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers finally see Doug Martin return to play today, although it's not clear how much playing time he'll get. Both Bobby Rainey and Charles Sims are also active, and all three should get a decent number of touches today. Alterraun Verner also returns, which should give the pass defense a decent boost.

Unfortunately for the Bucs, they'll be without linebacker Lavonte David. The Bucs' best linebacker will be replaced by Danny Lansanah, who moves to weakside linebacker, while Orie Lemon will take Lansanah's spot on the strong side.

The Buccaneers also promoted DE Jacquies Smith to the starting lineup at left defensive end for good play, according to Scott Smith. He'll take William Gholston's spot, who's been a very good run defender but hasn't been all that useful against the pass. Both playes should still get a solid amount of playing time, and I wouldn't expect the relative playing time to change all that much.

In addition, Da'Quan Bowers is once again inactive. Having fallen out of favor with three different coaching staffs, it seems his days in Tampa are over.

As for the Bears, they are mostly healthy. Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery will both play, and offensive lineman Jordan Mills is the only Chicago starter who won't suit up today.

Buccaneers inactives: LB Lavonte David, T Kevin Pamphile, WR Robert Herron, RB Mike James, CB Crezdon Butler, CD C.J. Wilson, DE Da'Quan Bowers.

Bears inactives: G/T Jordan Mills, DE Trevor Scott, LB Khaseem Greene, T Eben Britton, LB Darryl Sharpton, CB Terrance Mitchell, WR Chris Williams.
