Buccaneers vs. Washington Score Update: Tampa Bay leads 10-0 after one

The Bucs have a 10-0 lead thanks to two Robert Griffin III interceptions.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are beating Washington 10-0 after one quarter.

The Bucs got off to a great start, picking off Robert Griffin III on the very first play from scrimmage. That wasn't really Griffin's fault -- he can't help it if his tight ends start tossing balls to Danny Lansanah. The Bucs converted that to a field goal to take a 3-0 lead.

Washington nearly scored on the very next drive, but Griffin overthrew DeSean Jackson, who was running past everyone in the Tampa Bay secondary. And while the Bucs offense stalled on a drop by Louis Murphy which was pretty close to turning into a pick six, the Bucs capitalized on the next Washington drive as Mason Foster tipped a third-down pass to Johnthan Banks, who ran it back for a touchdown and a 10-0 lead.

And just like that, the Bucs are pretty comfortable early in this game. It's not perfect, and a few close calls could have gotten the game to go pretty differently, but the results are good so far.
