Doug Martin still absent, Buccaneers set for committee backfield

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will approach their backfield as a committee.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were a lot more healthy today than they had been in weeks past. Anthony Collins, Michael Johnson and Alterraun Verner returned to practice on a limited basis, signaling that they should be ready to pay on Sunday. Doug Martin was still absent, however.

Meanwhile, quarterbacks coach and de facto offensive coordinator Marcus Arroyo said today that they wouldn't take  a bell-cow approach to the Tampa Bay backfield. In other words, we're likely to see a rotation between Bobby Rainey, Charles Sims and Doug Martin -- with the latter's participation obviously depending on his health.

Gerald McCoy was absent with a groin injury, but Lovie Smith said that he should be able to play on Sunday.
