The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Minnesota Vikings are trying to play the most boring game of football ever imagined. After one half, the Vikings lead 3-0 on a last-second field goal. That's it. That's everything that happened in one half.
The first quarter was about as uneventful as first quarters get. No points were scored, even the one interception came on a long jump ball and was effectively just a punt. It was...boring.
The second quarter didn't get much better, but the Tampa Bay defense looked a little improved over previous weeks. For one, they didn't give up 28 points before the middle of the second quarter. More importantly, the pass rush got going against an admittedly terrible Minnesota offensive line.
Overall, the Bucs defense has actually played well in all aspects, at least since the first drive of the first quarter. It's just that the Tampa Bay offense isn't getting anything done. Mike Glennon has completed six of 12 passes for 31 yards, and an interception. Doug Martin's running at 3 yards per carry. The Bucs have 35 penalty yards. It's bad.
Here's your second half open thread!
