The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed linebacker Orie Lemon to their active roster. Lemon was a member of the Kansas City Chiefs' practice squad, and has spent most of his four-year career on the Dallas Cowboys' and Arizona Cardinals' practice squads. General manager Jason Licht would be familiar with Lemon from his time spent with the Arizona front office.
The Bucs likely signed Lemon to alleviate some injury problems at the linebacker spot, as Jonathan Casillas, Brandon Magee and Danny Lansanah are all nicked up in various ways. At 6'1", 235 lbs. he seems like he'd fit best at either outside linebacker spot.
Lemon will take Da'Quan Bowers' roster spot, who is suspended for the next two games.
