The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are not the worst team in the NFL. You may expect so, given their two blowout losses and general inability to do anything against a team not named the Pittsburgh Steelers. But no, it's true: none of the national, NFL power rankings have the Bucs in last place. Not one.
SB Nation's Danny Kelly has the Bucs at number 28. Shutdown Corner lists them in 30th place. MLive sets them up as the third-worst team in the NFL. Pete Prisco has the Bucs in 28th place. Bleeding Green Nation actually has them as the second-worst team in the league, despite being one of the most positive sites on the Bucs' chances earlier in the season.
Of course, if the Bucs just keep losing they'll soon slide into last place. They can basically forget about the playoffs or even a winning season at 1-5, but the bye week should allow them to re-group and at least fix some problems.
So yay. We're not the worst! We're not the worst!
