Lovie Smith will be the next head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, barring some unforeseen disaster/miracle. He'll bring along Jeff Tedford as his offensive coordinator, and is expected to bring in either Rod Marinelli or Leslie Frazier as his defensive coordinator depending on whether or not the Cowboys let Marinelli leave.
That looks like a pretty strong group, but there are some questions -- mostly related to the offense, as is always the case with defensive-minded head coaches. Is Lovie Smith the guy to bring back respectability to the Bucs, or will the offense limit him to producing mediocrity? And what about the front office and general manager? How ill they build a team?
All questions we don't have the answer to yet, but that doesn't mean we can't give some gut reactions. So give us your grade of the hire. Do you love it? Do you like it? Do you hate it? Let us know!
