One half of the AFC and NFC Championships are set: the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots will get to play for the right to go to the Super Bowl. Today we'll find who they have to beat to get to the snow in New York. The 49ers and Panthers face off in the early game, while the Chargers and Broncos get the late game.

Sunday, January 12

(5) San Francisco 49ers (12-4) vs. (2) Carolina Panthers

Game time: 1:05 p.m. ET

TV Channel: Fox

Odds: 49ers by 1

Connections to the Buccaneers: Another division rival! Gah! The 49ers have former Buccaneer Eric Wright in the building, though he hasn't played much this season.

(6) San Diego Chargers (9-7) vs. (1) Denver Broncos (13-3)

Game time: 4:40 p.m. ET

TV Channel: CBS

Odds: Broncos by 9

Connections to the Buccaneers: Former Bucs linebackers coach Joe Barry is coaching linebackers for the Chargers. No connections exist with the Broncos as far as I am aware.
