Josh Freeman Trade: Jaguars and Browns not interested

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers won't find a trade partner for Josh Freeman in Jacksonville or Cleveland.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to have to find a way out of their dysfunctional relationship/break-up with Josh Freeman, but they seem to be having trouble finding trade partners. Peter King is reporting that the Jakcsonville Jaguars and Cleveland Browns have no interest in the former Tampa Bay starting quarterback.

Reports have suggested that the Green Bay Packers would be an intriguing option and that the Minnesota Vikings could trade for Freeman. At this point, no trade appears to be imminent. If a trade does get done, the Bucs will have to likely eat some portion of Freeman's remaining $6.4 million in salary, and they will have to be satisfied with a late-round pick.

The Bucs have moved on to Mike Glennon and despite his mediocre debut, any chance of reconciliation with Freeman appears to be gone. If the Tampa Bay Buccaneers can't find a trade partner before the trade deadline, they may do best to release the quarterback. In fact, it may be best if they do that as quickly as possible to get this ridiculous drama over with.
