The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have told Josh Freeman that he can't watch the game from the sidelines after being deactivated today, according to Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports 1. Earlier today, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that the Bucs former starter had missed a meeting this week. Combined with his unauthorized with ESPN, the Bucs are not happy with Freeman, and have hence told him to go watch the game from a suite.
Freeman has asked for a trade and the Bucs are reportedly willing and eager to get anything in return for the now backup. Given his hefty contract finding a trade partner may be difficult, though reports suggest the Vikings may be interested and the Green Bay Packers could be a logical landing spot for the quarterback.
Regardless, the quarterback's days in Tampa appear to be numbered. After five years of starting games for the Buccaneers, Josh Freeman is now the source of a whole lot of drama. The Bucs aren't going to turn back to him, and getting him off the roster as swiftly as possible may be best for both parties.
