Buccaneers vs. Patriots Injuries: Gronkowski, Amendola participate on limited basis

The injury reports for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots are out.

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Carl Nicks appears to be close to returning, but Schiano did say that they had to be certain that there wouldn't be any long term issues in his playing, so it's not a sure thing. Schiano also said in his press conference that defensive tackle Derek Landri would be sidelined for a few weeks, which is about as precise as the Bucs head coach gets with regards to injuries.

Tom Crabtree is getting close to a return, too, which is good news for the Bucs' anemic passing game which has struggled to attack the middle of the field.

As for the Patriots, it appears Rob Gronkowski and Danny Amendola are both participating in practice on a limited basis. It doesn't seem likely that they'll actually suit up against the Buccaneers, according to NESN.com, which would leave a slew of inexperience receivers for Brady to throw too -- which has made him look pretty bad so far. Still, when it comes to the Patriots and injury reports, you can't trust anything.
