Derek Landri Injury: Buccaneers defensive tackle out with knee injury

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers just saw their defensive tackle depth take a hit with Derek Landri having to go to the locker room with a knee injury. Landri was declared to be out for the game by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

If the injury turns out to be serious, and it did look that way, the Bucs take a major hit to their defensive line depth. Landri was the main backup behind Gerald McCoy and the second defensive tackle on passing downs. They do not have a defensive tackle capable of rushing the passer beyond McCoy, with Gary Gibson and Akeem Spence being the only two other defensive tackles on the roster.

The Bucs may look to a defensive end to provide that pass rush inside on third downs, with Da'Quan Bowers and Daniel Te'o-Nesheim having done that in previous games. Rookie William Gholston is another option for the position, but the Bucs will struggle to fill that role.
