The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are pretty healthy heading into the game against the New Orleans Saints, all things considered. While Tom Crabtree and Michael Adams won't play, the Bucs should see fullback Erik Lorig return and cornerback Rashaan Melvin is likely to make his debut after participating in practice on a limited basis. Adrian Clayborn's appearance on the practice report shouldn't be a major cause for concern.
The only real question is whether left guard Carl Nicks can play. Greg Schiano suggested that he was likely to be platooned due to conditioning issues if he does make it on the active roster.
The Saints have a lot of injury problems on defense. Brodrick Bunkley, their starting nose tackle is, out. Starting safety Roman Harper is questionable, as are starting cornerback Jabari Greer and two of their backup cornerbacks. Starting middle linebacker Curtis Lofton was limited for the final two practices. They do have the likely return of Martez Wilson to look forward to, which would at least give them another pass rusher.
