Buccaneers vs. Saints Injury Report: Carl Nicks getting healthy, Michael Adams out for several weeks

Carl Nicks is getting closer to being healthy. While Greg Schiano would not commit to him playing on Sunday, he participated for the second day in a row in practice on a limited basis. If he doesn't play this week, the Buccaneers should at least have him back for next week. Similarly, fullback had full participation for the second straight day.

Rashaan Melvin also rejoined the full participation list, which means the Bucs may actually have four healthy cornerbacks on Sunday. They may even make it to five, if they call up Deveron Carr from the practice squad. Michael Adams may have had surgery, but won't be placed on injured reserve as the Bucs expect him to be back in several weeks.

A small note of concern: Adrian Clayborn was added to the practice report as limited in practice with a hip injury. It's not clear how serious it is, but the Bucs don't have the kind of defensive line depth that they can afford to have Clayborn be limited in games.

Meanwhile, the Saints have a slew of injuries on defense with an already talent-light group. Jabari Greer, Curtis Lofton and Patrick Robinson were limited in practice, two of them being starters. Three defensive linemen
