Your long nightmare is over. Myron Lewis has been waived. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have cut ties with their perennially disappointing 2010 third-round pick. Lewis was physically very talented, but struggled with minor injuries throughout his career, and played some awful football when he did get on the field. His play could never live up to his talent.
The Bucs surprisingly kept the underwhelming third-round pick last season, but he couldn't get on the field beyond some special teams snaps. They gave him another chance this offseason, but the former third-round pick once again missed many practices with an injury, and was soon passed by many cornerbacks on the depth chart.
The Bucs re-signed undrafted rookie cornerback Mason Robinson, who had been with the Bucs for a few days earlier this offseason.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers also waived/injured linebacker Marvin Booker, who was signed just a couple of days ago.
