Buccaneers clean facility after MRSA infection, Carl Nicks and Lawrence Tynes progressing

As we're continuing to get information on the MRSA case at One Buc Place, a few things are becoming clear. The Buccaneers are saying that Carl Nicks and Lawrence Tynes, have shown improvement and that there are no new cases of the penicillin-resistant staph infection. Tynes had surgery to clean his infection this week, per Chris Mortensen. That's the good news, at least, but it gives us no timetable on their potential recovery.

According to JoeBucsFan, the cleansing of One Buc Place this weekend cost the team well into the five figures. The team isn't sure of the origin of the infection, but cleaning One Buc Place was a (sensible) precaution. Mark Dominik noted that the Glazers said the team should spare no costs to get this issue fixed, per ESPN.

Meanwhile, the NFLPA will be looking into the matter as well, to see if their players were adequately informed. George Atallah, the Assistant Executive Director of External Affairs at the NFLPA, noted as much on Twitter. The Bucs informed their players of the issue on Monday, but apparently didn't think it was worth it to notify everyone else.
