Buccaneers sign Jeremy Lewis, waive Desmond Wynn

The Bucs make another roster move.

Rafael Suanes-US PRESSWIRE

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers continue to tweak their roster, signing guard Jeremy Lewis and waiving guard Desmond Wynn. Lewis played college football at the University of Miami, playing offensive line in his final season with the Hurricanes until being moved to offensive guard in his junior season. Lewis was one of the players who got a tryout with the Buccaneers during their rookie minicamp.

Wynn went undrafted out of Rutgers last season and spent his rookie season on injured reserve with the Bucs. With him gone, the Buccaneers no longer tie the Patriots for the most Rutgers players on their roster. They have one fewer.

Lewis doesn't have much of a chance to make the roster, with Ted Larsen and Jamon Meredith both solid backups at guard, but he might be an intriguing option for the practice squad. Still, he's more likely just a training camp body.
