The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' most expensive and most high-profile player made the NFL Top 100 Players of 2013 list as Darrelle Revis came in at number 67. That's a bit of a tumble from last season, when the league's premiere cornerback was ranked fifth. That fall is, of course, explained by his ACL injury and the fact that he played just two games last year. That ACL injury is really the only question mark concerning the cornerback. Revis appearing on the list shouldn't surprise anyone, but it's another reminder that the Bucs do have a lot of talent on the front end of their team.
The Buccaneers have seen two other players make the top 100 in Dashon Goldson and Gerald McCoy, who came in at numbers 96 and 92 respectively. The Bucs can likely look forward to three other players appearing on the list: it seems absurd to think that Doug Martin and Vincent Jackson wouldn't appear on the list, while Carl Nicks is widely regarded as one of the very best offensive guards in this league.
The Bucs have a lot of talent, or that's what other NFL players appear to think, anyway. That may or may not translate to wins next year, but at least it's a nice change of pace from teams that were either talent-deficient, or seen as talent-deficient over the past decade.
