The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are growing impatient with the New York Jets in the Darrelle Revis trade talks, writes Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports. That's no big surprise, and this just seems to be the latest bit of posturing in the media from a team that has been exceedingly secretive and leak-free under Greg Schiano. Meanwhile, the Jets appeared to leak that a trade would occur the week of the draft, provided the price was right -- so the Bucs' impatience seems a little unwarranted.
The more interesting note of Cole's report was that of trade terms, with the Bucs reportedly having offered a first-, a third- and a sixth-round pick for the Jets' star cornerback and being prepared to give Revis a contract worth $15 to $16 million. Sports Illustrated's Peter King had earlier noted the Bucs were willing to offer a first- and second-round pick provided the first-rounder came in 2014. The Bucs have reportedly been reluctant to trade their 2013 first-round pick, but this report seems to suggest a change of mind in that respect as Cole does not specify whether the first-rounder would come from this year's draft.
